Balasore: A three-year-old boy drowned after falling into a pond while playing outside his house in Mahuri village on the outskirts of Baisinga in Mayurbhanj district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Tanmay Dalei, son of Bijay Kumar Dalei.As the child went missing, family members launched a frantic search and eventually found him inside the pit. He was rushed to the community health centre at Baisinga. Doctors declared him dead after examination.On receiving information, Baisinga police reached the spot. The body was sent to Baripada for postmortem. Tanmay’s father, Bijay Kumar Dalei, who works for a private company in Chennai, is on his way back home and is expected to reach on Friday.
