- Must not be employed full-time
- Must not be pursuing full-time education (except final-year students)
Educational qualification includes:
- Class 10 pass
- Class 12 pass
- ITI certificate holders
- Diploma holders
- Graduates (BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BTech etc.)
- Postgraduates (MA, MSc, MCom, MCA etc.)
However, candidates from certain institutions such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), and other top institutions are not eligible. Candidates already enrolled in other government apprenticeship or internship schemes are also not eligible.
Prime Minister Internship scheme 2026: Stipend and benefits
Selected candidates will receive:
- Monthly financial assistance of ₹9,000
- One-time grant of ₹6,000
- Life and accident insurance coverage
- Work experience in top companies
- Internship completion certificate
The monthly assistance will be provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to candidates’ bank accounts.
