Now, Ketan’s mother writes to PM Modi for justice

Pune: Realtor Ketan Agarwal’s mother, Rakhi, has reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to ensure justice after her son was allegedly murdered by his fiancée and her boyfriend at Lohagad fort on June 18. The appeal comes days after Agarwal’s father, Vishal, approached President Droupadi Murmu requesting a fast-track trial. In an email sent to the PM on Monday, the mother, Rakhi, described the devastating impact of Ketan’s death. Calling herself “a mother seeking justice,” she said her family’s life had been torn apart by the loss. “Every corner of our home reminds me of my son. His room, his clothes, his photographs and the silence that has replaced his laughter remind me every day that my son will never return,” she wrote.Rakhi said the family suffered another tragedy when her father-in-law died within 20 days of Ketan’s death. “We have lost two generations. I do not want sympathy or any special favour. I am only asking for justice. The people responsible for Ketan’s death must receive the strictest punishment under the law,” she stated.Urging speedy action, she requested the PM to ensure that the case receives due attention and proceeds without unnecessary delay.
