It is called the Cell Broadcast Alert system. The alert made phones ring with a sharp sound and flashing warning. The message said, “NDMA will test Cell Broadcast Alerts on 2 May 2026 in your area. On receiving the message on your mobile phone, no action is required. Please do not panic.” Many people got scared for a moment because of the loud sound.
