A Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader attended the 2026 Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon. She appeared to be there as a guest of Philadelphia Eagles star Cooper DeJean.
DeJean, a former University of Iowa standout, has become one of the top defensive backs in the league with the Eagles. He helped Philadelphia win the Super Bowl two seasons ago. The Eagles took a step back in 2025, but are primed for a rebound year in 2026.
Meanwhile, as the Cowboys missed the NFL Playoffs in 2025, one of their cheerleaders, Abby Summers, appears to have struck up a relationship with one of their rival team’s best players in DeJean.
The Kentucky Derby released official red carpet photos from Saturday’s race, showing Summers and DeJean arriving together, apparently as a couple.
“DeJean and Summers were among those who made an appearance on the Kentucky Derby red carpet on Saturday. This comes after the two were spotted together at Iowa’s Elite Eight loss in March,” Fox News reported.
“Does March Madness plus Churchill Downs equal an NFL love story? Can we officially add the title of NFL WAG to the bio of the Cowboys cheerleader, and noted respecter of summer?”
The Cowboys cheerleader and Eagles star appear to be ‘hard launching’ their relationship
Another Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader commented on a TikTok video that Summers posted before the Kentucky Derby.
“Derby day aka hard launch day,” Kleine Powell wrote, adding some emojis and “cuteeee” to make it official.
DeJean previously dated former University of Iowa student Stephyn Wilfawn. However, the couple broke up at some point in 2025.
Wilfawn has since moved out to California where she has become a full-time model, with more than 35,000 followers on Instagram.
The Cowboys and the Eagles are set to square off at least twice during the 2026 season. The official NFL 2026 schedule will be released later this month.
