NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The City of North Myrtle Beach honored native Vanna White on Tuesday.
She was honored at the Surf Golf & Beach Club with a personalized golf bag and a personalized engraved plaque on a dedicated locker in the ladies’ locker room.
Officials said the formal recognition by Mayor Baldwin highlighted her Wheel of Fortune career, her philanthropic impact, including more than $2 million raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and her lasting connection to the city.
“For more than four decades, Vanna has brought joy to millions while continuing to make North Myrtle Beach proud,” the city said in a Facebook post.
