Formula E drivers once again have to brace themselves for the hot conditions in Japan as they take part in the Tokyo E-Prix. To avoid the daytime heat, it’s going to be a night race this time, with practice sessions lined up in the afternoon and the main races in the evening. This is the first time the streets of Japan are hosting both rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship under the lights of the iconic Tokyo Big Sight. 2026 Tokyo E-Prix schedule
The first practice session, FP1, is planned for Friday, July 24, at 7 pm local time (3:30 pm IST).The real action will begin on Saturday, July 25. The second free practice session, FP2, will take place at 1:30 pm local time (10 am IST). The drivers will then gear up for qualifying at 3:40 pm local time (12:10 pm IST), to be followed by the season’s first night race, Round 14, at 8:05 pm local time (4:35 pm IST).A lot of action is packed into Sunday, July 26, as well. The day will begin with the third free practice session, FP3, at 1:30 pm local time (10 am IST). Round 15 qualifying will then start at 3:40 pm local time (12:10 pm IST). It will be followed by the Round 15 race, which will again be a night race, at 8:05 pm local time (4:35 pm IST).
