CHENNAI: The BJP on Friday accepted the resignation of former Tamil Nadu party president K Annamalai.The former state BJP chief is expected to outline his future course of action during a social media interaction later in the day, intensifying buzz that he may launch a new political outfit.Taking to social media, Annamalai wrote, “ I eagerly look forward to interacting with you all on social media to share my thoughts and have an open, heart-to-heart conversation.”Sources said Annamalai has been camping in Delhi since Monday, where he met Union home minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin and national organisational general secretary B L Santhosh to convey his decision to quit the party.He is also said to have sought a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before returning to Chennai.
