India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, on Monday met Congressman Jay Obernolte to discuss expanding India–US collaboration in science, technology, artificial intelligence and innovation. Kwatra shared details of the meeting on X, saying, “Enjoyed my conversation with Rep. @JayObernolte, Chair of the House Science, Space, and Technology Research and Technology Subcommittee. Highlighted opportunities for stronger US-India cooperation in science, tech, AI & innovation.” Kwatra also held what he described as a “fascinating and instructive” interaction with Francis Pedraza, founder of Invisible Technologies, focusing on emerging tech and its societal applications. He noted that Pedraza’s Eternity Civilization Foundation is undertaking an ambitious project to translate the ancient works of the Great Library of Nalanda using AI-assisted tools, reflecting growing cross-border interest in leveraging technology for cultural preservation.
