LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Longtime University of Kentucky Athletic Director, Mitch Barnhart will soon announce his retirement plans on Tuesday, WKYT can confirm.
Barnhart has been with the University of Kentucky 25 seasons and he is the longest-tenured Power 4 Athletic Director.
WKYT is working to get this information confirmed.
According to those with knowledge, Barnhart did not travel with the men’s basketball team to Texas A&M and has planned a meeting with staff.
