British Airways cancels UK–Abu Dhabi flights until later this year amid Middle East airspace instability

In a significant update, British Airways has announced several important flight cancellations between the Middle East and the United Kingdom given the ongoing regional disruptions and airspace instability. The airline has temporarily stopped many flight operations on affected routes. In its latest update on 10 March at 14:00 GMT, the airline confirmed that it has cancelled all flights to and from several major Middle Eastern airports, including Dubai, Doha, Amman, Bahrain, and Tel Aviv until later this month. Not only this, flights between the UK and Abu Dhabi will remain suspended for an even longer period, probably lasting until later this year. The reason behind is ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East. The airspace conditions remain unstable and airlines are prioritizing passengers safety. Many carriers have been forced to review routes and reduce services across sensitive corridors.

British Airways advised that customers who believe they can safely travel to Oman should contact the airline’s dedicated assistance line to secure seats on the remaining services. The airline in it’s advisory also mentioned its teams are actively contacting affected passengers via email and providing options such as rebooking, refunds, or alternative travel arrangements. British Airways has also warned travellers to remain cautious about potential scams. This is a crucial time. Flight disruptions have affected passengers so the airline ha requested to trust only official communication channels for updates. The airline has asked passengers to avoid clicking on suspicious links or share their personal payment information with sources that are not verified. As of now, air travel remains highly disturbed in the Middle Eastern regions including Dubai and Doha normally which serve as critical transit points between Europe, Asia, and Australia. Meanwhile, the suspension of flights by a major international carrier like British Airways is expected to affect thousands of travellers worldwide. Passengers planning travel through the region in the coming weeks are strongly advised to check flight status frequently and stay connected with their airline for latest updates.
