Guwahati: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Crime Branch of Assam Police in Guwahati over a fake AI-generated video and a letter, alleging an attempt to malign the organisation’s image.RSS Guwahati Mahanagar Sanghchalak Guru Prasad Medhi said in the complaint that the “content being circulated is false, malicious, and intended to mislead the public and tarnish the image of the organization.”“We hereby request your office to kindly investigate the matter, identify the source and persons responsible for creating and disseminating this fake content, and take necessary legal action at the earliest,” he stated.Medhi said such activities, allegedly carried out with malicious intent, could disturb public harmony and required immediate intervention. “Necessary action in this regard may kindly be taken in the larger national interest,” he added.According to the RSS, the video described as “fake and AI generated” refers to the organisation’s alleged dissatisfaction with the BJP leadership in Assam.An RSS source said the video also carried the logo of a national television channel.“The video has the logo of a national TV channel also. It is a completely fake video. One complaint has also been filed in Delhi over the fake AI generated video. The video was in circulation over the last four-five days on social media,” said an RSS source.
