His performance in both ‘Dhurandhar’ and its sequel has drawn significant praise. While Ranveer is getting accolades for his performance and some are even calling it his career-best, filmmaker turned actor, Anurag Kashyap has spoken about the actor’s dedication. Anurag revealed that it’s not just for ‘Dhurandhar’ but Ranveer has always been extremely passionate and dedicated towards his craft since the beginning of his career. He recalled what the actor had done during the shoot of ‘Lootera’. Anurag who was one of the producers of the film and had also written the dialogues said during a chat with Miss Malini, “We are hearing stories about Dhurandhar and how he and Arjun Rampal injured and hurt each other. So, that’s how far they went for the role and the film got amazing numbers right? But Ranveer Singh, in his second film ‘Lootera’, when he gets shot in the climax and to feel that right feeling, he took a clip without telling anyone and clipped himself on the stomach. He went so far as an actor to create that, we had to take him to the hospital. The film didn’t do the numbers of ‘Dhurandhar’, but it’s that man’s conviction. He didn’t share his pain with anyone. Nobody came to know till he couldn’t move.” Kashyap will be seen next as an actor in ‘Dacoit’ with Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur. The film is set to release on April 10.
