LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A driver was taken into custody Thursday morning following a lengthy chase involving a stolen truck through the Antelope Valley.

The pursuit began on the 5 Freeway in the Hollywood area before it made its way onto the 14 Freeway.

The truck, which was reported stolen, appeared to be a traffic management company work truck.

The driver was being followed by California Highway Patrol officers on the 14 Freeway in the Palmdale-Lancaster area when one of the truck’s front tires deflated from a spike strip.

The suspect came to a stop on the 14 Freeway in the Rosamond area at the Kern County line.

The woman who was driving was seen getting out the vehicle with her hands up and was taken into custody.
