The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has officially opened the registration window for the Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI‑SS) July 2026 session entrance test. This exam offers admission into highly sought‑after postgraduate super‑speciality medical courses such as Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) across premier institutes in the country.Candidates interested in pursuing super‑speciality education under the INI‑SS system can submit their applications only through the official portal aiimsexams.ac.in — the central examination registration site for AIIMS exams. The registration process has begun and will remain open until April 13, 2026.The INI‑SS July 2026 examination is slated to be conducted in a computer‑based test (CBT) format, set for April 25, 2026. After the registration period closes, candidates can check the status of their applications, including any rejections, starting April 15, 2026, through the registration status page on the website.The two‑stage selection includes:

  • Stage I – CBT: A written examination consisting of objective questions covering relevant medical subjects.

AIIMS INI SS 2026: Application fee and scheme

The application fee for the INI‑SS July 2026 session is set at ₹4,000, plus any applicable transaction charges. Candidates who have benchmark disabilities and qualify under PwBD category are exempted from paying the application fee.The exam marking scheme awards one mark for each correct answer and applies a negative marking of one‑third for each incorrect response. To be considered for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in Stage I.

INI SS registration 2026: Steps to apply

  • Click on “New Registration” if you are applying for the first time.
  • Fill in your basic personal details like name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
  • Create a login ID and password. Keep these credentials safe for future login.
  • Use your newly created login ID and password to log in.
  • Fill in academic details, including MBBS degree information and internship details.
  • Upload the required documents in the prescribed format:Passport-sized photograph

Signature, MBBS degree certificate or provisional certificate, Internship completion certificate (if applicable), Category certificate (if applying under reserved categories)

  • Select your preferred course (DM/MCh).
  • Choose exam city preferences for the computer-based test.
