Ram Gopal Varma calls ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ a ‘Reset Button’
On March 21, Ram Gopal Varma made a bold statement while praising the Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. He expressed that the movie will reshape the standards of filmmaking in the industry. He wrote, “The #Dhurandhar2 is not a film… it is a RESET BUTTON for INDIAN CINEMA… it will be foolish on all filmmakers’ part not to forget all films which were made before March 19th, 2026, and starting from March 19th, 2026, onwards, everybody should benchmark all their to-be-made films with #Dhurandhar2, or else they will PERISH in its FIRE.”
Earlier, RGV had expressed, “This is the BIRTH of a NEW CINEMATIC ORDER and the ruthless extinction of everything that ever existed before in the previous WORLD of CINEMA.”

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is set to dominate the box office and create new benchmarks. It features Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and R Madhavan. The star cast also includes Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, Mustafa Ahmed, and more. The movie showcases the rise of Hamza Ali Mazari (Ranveer) in the terror gangs of the Lyari town in Pakistan. The movie also reveals how Jaskirat Singh Rangi becomes Hamza, an Indian spy in Pakistan. As of now, the movie has raked in over Rs 270 crore at the box office in India. The movie was released in cinemas on March 19, 2026.
