BHOPAL: A 23-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter were injured after her intoxicated husband threw them off a first-floor roof in Gwalior’s Raipur Kala village on November 26.The husband, Shyam, who often assaulted his wife while drunk, dragged her by the neck before hurling both mother and child onto stones below. Aarti, the woman, had been living with her parents for five months after repeated abuse.On the incident day, Shyam was drinking on a neighbor’s terrace and verbally abusing Aarti and her family. When Aarti tried to calm him, he assaulted her and threw both her and her daughter off the roof. They were rushed to hospital. Aarti filed a complaint after being discharged, and Shyam was arrested. Investigations continue.
