ELKHART, Ind. (WSBT) — There is an update regarding the shooting in Elkhart, which ended with a woman flagging down a school bus for help on Wednesday.
According to police, the shooting happened during a home invasion on Hastings Street in Elkhart County.

A vicitim was shot, and later she boarded a Concord Schools bus asking for help.
According to the victims, the suspects entered the home and demanded money.
The suspects then forced the victims out of the home and stole a necklace.
The suspect’s car was found in South Bend, where it resulted in a several-hour-long SWAT standoff.
