Madurai: A family dispute turned violent as a man and his associates trespassed into his brother-in-law’s house and assaulted five people with sickles in V Karisalkulam here on Sunday night.According to police sources, Ramachandran, 26, of V Karisalkulam married Subhashini of Thuvariman against the wishes of the woman’s family. Following marital discord, Subhashini recently returned to her maternal home.Subhashini’s brother Perumal, along with his friends, trespassed into Ramachandran’s house on Sunday night and attacked Ramachandran and his family members sickles. Ramachandran, his parents Ganesan, Nagajothi, his relatives Arjun and Pandiselvi sustained injuries. The injured were admitted to the Government Rajaji Hospital for treatment.Based on a complaint by Ramachandran’s mother Nagajothi, the Koodal Pudur police registered a case and arrested Perumal, 36, Subash, 22, and Naveen Prasad, 26.
