WhatsApp offers multiple security features to its users. One such feature is the ability to lock chats that you don’t want others to see. If you have conversations that you don’t want others to see, you can lock them and move them to a separate folder. These locked chats do not appear in your main chat list and stay hidden unless you unlock them. To open a locked chat, you will need your phone’s passcode, fingerprint, Face ID or a secret code. Even notifications stay private, showing only a simple alert without revealing the sender or message. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to lock a WhatsApp chat easily.
