CHENNAI: Chennai Super Kings fans’ wait to see MS Dhoni in action is set to be over next week. According to CSK sources, Dhoni’s rehabilitation is on track, and he could be available either in the Mumbai Indians game on April 23 or the rescheduled Gujarat Titans Game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 26.Dhoni had suffered a calf injury in practice a week before the IPL that ruled him out of the first three weeks’ action. It was told that Dhoni has not travelled with CSK to Hyderabad for their game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. “He is still doing his rehab in Chennai, and we don’t want to take any chances with his fitness,” a CSK source pointed out.Dhoni has been batting at the nets regularly, working on his range hitting. Once fully fit, it will be interesting to see how CSK use him. Sanju Samson has been doing the keep and it is likely that he will carry on keeping. In a situation like that, it is likely that Dhoni will play as an ‘Impact Sub’, coming in for his cameos later in the innings.
