DORAL, Fla. – Jake Knapp withdrew from the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral before the start of his first round on Thursday. He cited a left thumb sprain.
Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan, who tied for second with teammate Kris Ventura, replaces Knapp in the 12:35 p.m. ET tee time with J.T. Poston. Reitan moved up to first alternate when Patrick Cantlay withdrew citing illness on Tuesday, allowing Michael Thorbjornsen to get into the field.

Knapp, 31, is enjoying a terrific season on the PGA Tour, making eight of nine cuts and notching five top 10s. The one-time winner also withdrew from the pro-am on Wednesday and was seen with tape on his hand.
This isn’t the first time this season Knapp has been a late scratch. He previously withdrew from the 2026 Arnold Palmer Invitational shortly before his first-round tee time too.
