If you’ve ever driven through Noida during rush hour, this video might feel a little too relatable.A Noida woman has gone viral after sharing a brutally honest rant about the city’s traffic, saying it doesn’t matter whether you leave work at 6 pm or wait until 9.30 pm – the roads are still packed.The video, posted by Instagram user Divya Chaturvedi, has resonated with thousands of commuters who say they’ve been living the exact same story every day.
‘Noida traffic has no mercy’
In the now-viral Reel, Divya jokes that many people moved to Noida hoping to leave Delhi’s traffic chaos behind, only to discover that the commute here isn’t much better.“People shifted to Noida thinking they’d finally escape Delhi’s traffic,” she says. “But now there’s no escaping Noida either.”She goes on to describe the city’s roads as completely unforgiving, saying there’s hardly any difference between leaving the office in the evening and heading home much later at night.According to her, traffic seems to have a life of its own.“You leave at 6 pm, there’s traffic. Leave at 9.30 pm, there’s still traffic,” she says in the video, before joking that sometimes it feels as though people reach home, realise they aren’t stuck in a jam anymore, and decide to drive back just to be part of one again.That line, unsurprisingly, has become one of viewers’ favourites.
The commute she says everyone dreads
Divya then takes viewers through what she calls the “levels” of surviving a drive home in Noida.According to her, the trouble begins almost immediately after leaving the office.She points to the stretch before Parthala, around Pan Oasis and opposite Shaurya Banquet as one of the biggest bottlenecks, saying it’s enough to ruin anyone’s mood before they’ve even properly started their journey home.And that’s just the beginning.Next comes the Parthala crossing, which she describes as another daily challenge.The flyover, she says, hasn’t made much difference. “Take the flyover, there’s traffic. Go underneath it, there’s traffic there too,” she jokes.As if that isn’t enough, she says commuters are then greeted by another familiar sight near Gaur City.By then, she says, most people have simply accepted that getting stuck there is part of everyday life.“This isn’t an entertaining Reel,” she says towards the end. “This is a frustration Reel.”
