Wolves 0-1 Spurs
After 118 days, Spurs are Premier League winners once more.
Their 15-match winless streak is over, just.
Antonin Kinsky’s flying save in the dying seconds of stoppage-time ensure a first clean sheet in 15 matches and keeps Tottenham alive in the relegation scrap on a day when nothing less than three points would do.
Joao Palinha came off the bench to poke home the only goal eight minutes from time, having earned Spurs a point against Wolves in September with an even later goal.
Those four points might not be enough, if other sides keep winning, but Spurs have, at long last, a little forward momentum.
Wolves gave it a crack in the second half and will continue to build towards the Championship, where they might well face this fixture again next season, despite today’s result.
