Rain lashes several parts of Delhi-NCR; IMD issues yellow alert | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: Several parts of Delhi-NCR witnessed light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on Monday morning, bringing a dip in temperatures and relief from recent warm conditions.The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said light to moderate rainfall is likely to continue, accompanied by gusty winds of around 30–40 kmph in parts of Delhi-NCR, including Noida, Ghaziabad and Bahadurgarh.A yellow alert has been issued for parts of the city till late morning, urging residents to stay cautious during thunderstorm activity.The minimum temperature was recorded at about 16°C, while the maximum is expected to remain between 30°C and 32°C. Humidity levels were moderate during the morning hours.Air quality in the capital remained in the moderate category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 133, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Forecasts suggest that the air quality is likely to stay in the same range over the next few days.Officials added that cloudy skies are expected to persist, with chances of light rain or drizzle continuing in some parts of the city later in the day.
