Filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli’s ambitious ‘Varanasi’, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, is generating immense buzz. A resurfaced video revealed a grand Latin dance sequence with UK dancers. The film, reportedly a time-travel epic with a Rs. 1,300 crore budget, is also set to shoot in Antarctica, a rare feat for Indian cinema.

After delivering massive blockbusters like ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ and ‘RRR’, filmmaker S. S. Rajamouli is now working on his next ambitious venture, ‘Varanasi’. Starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, the film has made headlines for its scale and unique storyline. Recently, a resurfaced video of choreographer Shankar discussing a special dance sequence from the film sparked fresh excitement online.

A Latin-style dance sequence is planned.

In the viral clip taken from an earlier interview with Suman TV, choreographer Shankar spoke about his collaboration with Rajamouli on ‘Varanasi’. He shared that the filmmaker narrated the entire script to him over several hours, leaving him impressed with the project’s scale and narrative.According to Shankar, the film will include a lively dance number featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra performing in a Latin dance style. The sequence is expected to be visually grand, with trained dancers brought in from the United Kingdom for the performance. The adventure drama reportedly features time travel elements inspired by Indian mythology. Alongside Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, the cast also includes Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film’s next schedule is reportedly planned for Antarctica, a location rarely used for commercial filmmaking.
