Monday’s Rockies vs. Mets game at Coors Field is rescheduled to 3:40 p.m. due to forecasted storms.
DENVER — Monday’s Colorado Rockies game versus the New York Mets will be played in the afternoon due to expected inclement weather in the evening.
First pitch was originally scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Monday at Coors Field. It’s now set for 3:40 p.m., the Rockies said in an announcement Sunday.
Tickets for the originally scheduled 6:40 p.m. game are valid for the 3:40 p.m. game.
Ticket holders who purchased directly from the Rockies and can’t attend the rescheduled game will be contacted via email with details about their options. People who bought tickets through secondary markets like SeatGeek but can’t attend the afternoon game should contact the ticket reseller. Secondary market tickets are not valid for credit/refund or exchange through the Rockies.
Monday’s game is the first of a three-game set between the Rockies and Mets in LoDo, with the second and third games scheduled for Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon.
A cold front is forecast to move through Denver Monday afternoon, bringing isolated rain and thunderstorm chances into the evening hours. With temperatures in the 30s for most of the day on Tuesday, Denver will likely get rain, a mix of rain and snow, and possibly even accumulating snow Tuesday into Wednesday morning.
It’s not unusual for Denver to get snow in May, averaging 1.7 inches, but it’s been four years since the last time it happened. Denver got 2.3 inches of snow in May 2022.
