SSC GD exam date 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the Constable (General Duty) examination for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Special Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles for the 2026 recruitment cycle. Candidates who were preparing for the exam should know that the test will now be held on fresh dates, which will be announced soon on the official SSC website, according to the official notice.Earlier, the Computer Based Test (CBT) was scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026. However, the Commission has now decided to postpone the examination. A new schedule is expected to be released shortly.
When will the new exam dates be announced?
According to the official notice issued by the Commission, the revised examination dates are likely to be announced soon. Various media reports suggest that the updated schedule may be released in the first or second week of March 2026. Once announced, candidates will be able to check the complete timetable on the official website of SSC.The Commission has also clarified that there will be no slot selection facility for this examination. Candidates will be assigned exam dates and centres directly by the Commission.
City intimation slip and admit card details
Before the examination begins, SSC will release a city intimation slip to inform candidates about their exam city. This slip will be available 8 to 10 days before the start of the revised examination schedule.The SSC GD Constable admit cards will be issued after that. As per SSC’s usual policy, individual admit cards are generally released 2 to 3 days before the candidate’s exam date.

Once released, candidates can follow these steps to download their admit cards:
- Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission at ssc.nic.in.
- Click on the “Admit Card” tab available on the homepage.
- Select your respective SSC regional website.
- Click on the link for “SSC GD Constable 2026 Admit Card.”
- Enter your Registration Number or Roll Number and Date of Birth.
- Submit the details to view your admit card.
- Download it and take a clear printout for the examination day.
