Taking to his social media account on March 7, King Khan talked about Kapoor’s performance in ‘Subedaar’, calling it amazing and citing that he can always expect the veteran star to “give it his all” in his every project. He further praised the rest of the cast members of the film, writing, “#AdityaRawal, #SaurabhShukla, #MonaSingh, #FaisalMalik, #RadhikaMadan – each character was crafted uniquely and all of u put on such a great performance. Well done #SureshTriveni and the entire team… lots of love.”While talking about Kapoor’s performance, he also wrote that the actor gave “a restrained yet effective performance. This prompted the creators of the film to opt for a direct to digital release instead of the big screen structure.

Premise of ‘Subedaar’

Starring Anil Kapoor in the lead role, ‘Subedaar’ is set around the life of a retired officer named Subedaar Arjun Maurya. The story follows him on as he tries to settle back into civilian life, all the while trying to mend the bond that he had lost with his estranged daughter. Not all is possible, however, as problems from the past come back and he is forced to combat local corruption, societal issues, and many other things. The film is available on Prime Video for streaming.
