SUCCESSION fans have been left stunned by one of the HBO Max stars’ dramatic transformations for a new role.
The beloved series starred Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, Sarah Snook as Shiv Roy, Kieran Culkin as Roman Roy, and Nicholas Braun as cousin Greg but it’s another unexpected star that’s turning heads in a new trailer.
J. Smith-Cameron, who played Gerri on Succession, has been announced as the guest star in an upcoming Season 3 episode of Elsbeth, according to TV Insider.
The actress will play Isadora Langford in episode 14, and it seems she’s taking inspiration from famed fashionista Anna Wintour for the gig.
Teasers for the show reveal her new look, which includes a short blond bob with bangs, dark sunglasses, and a lavish all-black outfit.
A sneak peek at the episode shows J’s character accusing Elsbeth Tascioni, played by Carrie Preston, of a crime while speaking with Captain Wagner, portrayed by Wendell Pierce.
Isadora’s is described as the director of New York’s most prestigious debutant ball.
The episode’s official description reads as follows: “After a powerful patriarch is stabbed with a sword at New York’s most exclusive debutante ball, Elsebeth must engage in hand-in-glove combat with the imperious ball director.”
Fans expressed excitement about J’s casting in the show, as well as shock at her transformation.
“Ok so I guess I have to watch this show too,” one person posted.
