The accused, who had earlier been sent to judicial custody in a related case, were re-arrested on Wednesday and produced before the court the following day. The court granted a two-day police remand. Police say a total of seven employees — six men from the company’s Nashik unit and a woman HR manager — have been arrested so far in connection with nine FIRs registered in the case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been set up to examine complaints by eight women employees. The complainants have alleged mental and sexual harassment by senior colleagues and claimed that their concerns were not addressed by the HR department. Some of the women have also alleged attempts to force religious conversion and harassment linked to religious beliefs. The company has said it maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion and confirmed that the employees named in the allegations have been suspended. It added that an internal inquiry is being conducted by senior leadership to establish the facts and determine accountability.
