Air India and Air India Express will continue operating scheduled services to Jeddah and Muscat on March 10, 2026, as airspaces over Saudi Arabia and Oman remain open, even as the Air India group suspends flights to several other destinations in West Asia until March 13. The two carriers are also planning to operate a total of 32 additional non-scheduled flights to and from many destinations in the UAE on 10 March 2026, subject to slot availability, regulatory approvals, and the evolving situation. We are closely monitoring developments and will provide further updates as the situation evolves.”

According to the airline group, a total of 14 flights will operate to and from Jeddah on March 10. Air India will run one round-trip from Delhi and two round-trips from Mumbai to the Saudi city. Air India Express will complement these operations with one round-trip each from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mangaluru and Kozhikode. Services to Muscat will also continue as scheduled, with Air India Express operating six round-trip flights connecting the Omani capital with Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirappalli.According to the official press release of Air India, alongside scheduled services, the Air India group plans to operate 32 additional non-scheduled flights between India and the United Arab Emirates on March 10, subject to slot availability and other operational conditions at the departure points. Air India will operate 10 ad-hoc flights to and from Dubai, including three round-trips from Mumbai and two round-trips from Delhi. Air India Express will also operate one round-trip each to Dubai from Mumbai and Bengaluru. The release reads, “In addition to the scheduled services, Air India and Air India Express would operate a total of 32 ad-hoc non-scheduled flights between Indian cities and United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 10 March 2026, subject to availability of slots and other conditions prevailing at the respective point of departure at the time. These flights are being operated with the requisite permissions from the relevant Indian and local regulatory authorities. While Air India would operate 10 non-scheduled flights to and from Dubai, including three roundtrips from Mumbai and two round-trips from Delhi, Air India Express will operate one round-trip each to Dubai from Mumbai and Bengaluru. Air India Express will operate 18 non-scheduled flights to and from other emirates of the UAE, including one round-trip each to Abu Dhabi from Bengaluru and Mumbai, one round-trip each to Sharjah from Bengaluru and Mumbai, and one-round trip each to Ras Al-Khaimah from Delhi, Bengaluru, Kochi, and two round-trips from Mumbai.”

Flights to other West Asia destinations cancelled
The airline group has cancelled scheduled operations to other destinations in West Asia until March 13, 2026 due to the evolving regional situation.Passengers affected by the cancellations have been offered flexible options. Travellers can rebook their journeys for a later date without additional charges or opt for a full refund.Air India has advised passengers to submit rebooking or cancellation requests through its website or contact its 24-hour customer support helpline. Meanwhile, Air India Express passengers departing from the UAE can shift their bookings to other commercial flights from any UAE station to destinations in India without extra charges.For example, travellers holding confirmed bookings on a cancelled Dubai–Jaipur flight may transfer their journey to a Ras Al Khaimah–Delhi service without paying additional fees.Both airlines are also contacting affected passengers directly through registered mobile numbers to provide alternative travel options. Air India Express passengers can additionally manage their bookings through the airline’s AI-powered WhatsApp assistant, Tia.The Air India group said it is continuing to explore possibilities for operating more ad-hoc flights to and from West Asia to assist passengers during the current disruptions.
