NEW DELHI: Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast will roll out three new models in India in 2026 and expand its retail and service network as it scales up operations in the country, according to a senior official in the company .“We will begin with launching a seven-seater MPV… Beyond that, additional models will follow, each addressing different segments and needs,” said VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh. VinFast plans to nearly double its physical presence to 75 showrooms nationwide in 2026 from 35 showrooms in 2025. The expansion will be in Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities, while also increasing dealership density in high-volume urban centres.VinFast is evaluating entry into additional segments like electric buses and two-wheelers, with manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu to be expanded to support these products, and is working with local partners to install their charging points on HPCL fuel stations.VinFast will address EV-specific questions like range anxiety, charging habits, battery life and resale value through dealer engagement, test-drive programmes, content partnerships, and direct customer interaction. “Our goal is simple: Remove uncertainty in EV. When customers feel informed, confidence follows and confidence drives adoption,” Ghosh said.
