Between Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) engagement, Lucas (Chris McNally) finally kissing Edie Martell (Miranda MacDougall), and Abigail Stanton’s (Lori Loughlin) shocking appearance in the final moments, there were so many twists and turns for fans to take in!

Will there be a new season of When Calls the Heart in 2026?
Much to the anticipation of longtime fans, When Calls the Heart will not return with new episodes in 2026.
Even though it seems like there won’t be more stories to tell in Hope Valley, fear not! Hallmark has already teased when fans can expect an all-new season of WCTH to air on TV. Shortly after the season 13 finale aired on Hallmark, the show’s social team revealed on Instagram that When Calls the Heart season 14 will air sometime in 2027.
“2027 can’t come soon enough, #Hearties! 💛,” the caption read. “There’s so much in store for the next season of When Calls the Heart. What are you most looking forward to?”
Upon seeing this piece of information about the future of When Calls the Heart, fans had a lot of thoughts online.
“OMG…2027?! Its only March 2026 🥺,” one person lamented in the comments. “Absolutely loved the season finale. Can’t wait to see what’s next! 😍👏❤️,” another penned. “Next year? That’s a long wait for my favorite show! Can we get a Christmas special? 😭,” a different follower begged.
Even though it’ll be some time before a new When Calls the Heart episode premieres, at least we have some clues about what to expect. For one, Lori will reprise her role as Abigail after almost a decade, and we know that the show will explore Elizabeth and Nathan’s romance in its next phase. Add to that Lucas choosing to step down as governor, and we definitely will have a lot to talk about when the show eventually comes back on Hallmark.
