Shillong: The anti-narcotics task force (ANTF) Meghalaya detained a person with heroin from a city locality on Thursday.“At 3pm on Thursday, information was received that one person by the name of Sayed Ali of Lum Survey, Shillong, has received consignment of drugs from unknown supplier and is about to deliver drugs to customers,” police said.“On reaching Lum Survey, the suspect was detained by the ANTF Meghalaya. A search was conducted in his (Sayed Ali) house from where two plastic soap cases and 40 vials filled with suspected yellow or orange powder, hidden under the wooden planks of his bed, were recovered,” the police said.“Preliminary test of the contraband confirmed the substance to be heroin with a total weight of 25.45 grams,” the police said.
