The wait is almost over. ‘Ted Lasso’ is returning for a fourth season, with a premiere date now confirmed and a first teaser released to build the excitement. Three years after the Emmy-winning comedy wrapped its third season, Jason Sudeikis is heading back to London, and this time the challenge is bigger than ever.Streamer announced on Tuesday that season 4 will premiere on August 5, with Ted returning to coach AFC Richmond’s women’s team. A new image from the season and a teaser scored to ‘Rubber Band Man’ by Mumford and Sons and Hozier have also been released, offering the first real glimpse at what is ahead.

What the ‘Ted Lasso’ season 4 teaser reveals

The teaser shows Ted getting back into the swing of things in London, the Richmond women in action, and brief glimpses at both returning and new cast members. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift all reprise their roles from previous seasons.New faces joining the show include Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. The teaser also features Andrea Anders as Ted’s ex-wife Michelle, Matteo van der Grijn as Matthijs, the Dutchman Rebecca fell for in season 3, and Tracey Ullman in an as-yet-un disclosed guest role.

What season 4 of ‘Ted Lasso’ is about

The 10-episode season will see Ted “taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.” The official logline reads, “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”Season 4 was ordered in March 2025, ending a long period of speculation about the show’s future after season 3 concluded the story of Ted coaching the Richmond men’s side. In January, it was confirmed that the show would return in the summer.
