Agartala: The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) is expected to announce the results for the HS (+2) and Madhyamik exams for 2026 by May 10, stated its president, Prof Dhananjay Ganchoudhuri. This year, a total of 26,502 students, including 14,145 female candidates, participated in the higher secondary exams conducted from February 25 to March 30. In a similar vein, the Madhyamik exams, which took place between February 26 and March 24, had 32,184 students taking part, with 17,415 being girls. In contrast to last year, when results were published on April 30, this year’s announcement was postponed due to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections that occurred on April 12, followed by the counting on April 17. Prof Ganchoudhuri noted that more than a hundred evaluators were assigned to polling duties, which temporarily interrupted the evaluation process for approximately a week and impacted the preparation of results. To guarantee both accuracy and efficiency, experienced teachers were chosen as examiners for both exam sets, with evaluations taking place at six locations in Agartala under stringent supervision. The evaluation process was completed on April 26, after which the preparation of results commenced in earnest. Prof Ganchoudhuri assured that the TBSE team is working hard to ensure the results are completed and published as soon as possible.
