The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed that the April 14 storm damage in Washington County was caused by two tornadoes.
The first started near Christie in Adair County, Oklahoma, before crossing the state line into Washington County around 11:45 p.m. and ending near Cincinnati. This tornado uprooted multiple trees and damaged buildings.
The second tornado started about 5 miles southeast of Baron in Adair County and ended near Lincoln in Washington County. It also uprooted trees and damaged buildings just before midnight Tuesday.
