Patliputra univ invites online applications for UG courses

Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) will admit more than 5,000 students to various three-year undergraduate (UG) vocational courses for the academic session 2026-29. The university has invited eligible candidates to submit online applications from July 17 to 31 through its admission portal.According to PPU dean of students’ welfare (DSW) Rajeev Ranjan, the university has been offering UG vocational programmes such as bachelor of computer applications (BCA), bachelor of business administration (BBA), BSc information technology (BSc IT), BSc biotechnology, industrial microbiology, journalism and mass communication and environment & water management professional courses at its 26 constituent colleges located in Patna and Nalanda districts of the state.“Students seeking admission to UG vocational courses must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their Class 12th board examinations. The admission process will be conducted through the online mode to ensure transparency and fairness,” he said, adding that general, BC-I, BC-II and EWS category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,100 each while candidates belonging to SC and ST categories will have to pay Rs 700 each. Besides, the university has invited online applications for admission to five -year LLB course programme from July 17.The university has made all necessary steps to make the admission process smooth, transparent and student-friendly. “The merit list for admission will be prepared as per the prescribed criteria and guidelines,” the DSW said.In addition, the university started new classes in all its constituent and affiliated colleges, including 16 newly established Rajkiya Degree colleges at the block level from Wednesday, PPU registrar Abu Bakar said, adding that the university has already posted one professor in charge and one bursar to these new colleges to ensure smooth functioning of the academic activities from the current academic session.
