Renault Bridger Concept: Key details
The Bridger Concept was showcased during Renault’s recent Strategy Day presentation. While the company has not revealed complete specifications yet, the concept gives a clear idea of how the production model could look and where it will sit in Renault’s future product strategy. The production version is expected to be introduced around 2027, when Renault plans to expand its portfolio with several new models for the Indian market.

In terms of styling, the Bridger Concept adopts a rugged and upright design. It features a squared-off stance, muscular wheel arches and a boxy silhouette. The overall shape and proportions even draw some visual comparisons to the Land Rover Defender. At the front, the SUV features a bold grille, distinctive LED lighting elements and illuminated Renault lettering integrated into a gloss-black panel. Besides, it gets a flat bonnet, upright windscreen and chunky body cladding. It is also expected to get 18-inch alloy wheels and offer around 200 mm of ground clearance.
Renault Bridger Concept: Expected powertrain
The production version of the Bridger will be built on Renault’s R-GMP architecture. The company is planning to offer a wide range of powertrain options, including petrol, hybrid and fully electric versions. Manufacturing of the Bridger is expected to begin around 2027, aligning with Renault’s long-term strategy for India. Once it reaches showrooms, the Bridger is expected to compete directly with popular compact SUVs like the Brezza, Venue, Nexon and Sonet. It will also rival upcoming models based on concepts such as the Mahindra Vision S that have been spotted testing in India.
